Had some nice Dungeness Crabs in the traps on the way in. Fished this morning with Tyler, Chloe and Tammy from Winnipeg, for Spring salmon at the Trap Shack. Had lots of action with Chinooks getting on the gear, some lost, some small ones released, one large wild Spring released at about 20lbs.

Dropped the salmon gear down to 130/140ft on the downriggers and trolled West to Otter Point. Afternoon Charter
First strike on the green, white and yellow hootchy was a nice hatchery Coho. Morning Charter

Another Spring and a Pink salmon for this couple trolling anchovy with Bob in 2Reel2.
Fished with our newest guide-Mike,now going into his 3rd season with us. We were in about 250ft of water using Herring, I like to look for a current switch up near noon, although with only a couple weeks of Halibut fishing to go I'll try any tide without the wind. Fished with Matt, Keal and Alex today for Coho salmon.
Pulled 4 nice Dungeness Crabs out of the traps on the way in.
Covering thousands of hectares, from East Sooke to Port Renfrew, the city is home to 11,600 residents, the world famous Juan De Fuca hiking trail, and the best salmon fishing in the world.
Halibut fishing only today, we fished West of the Sooke Harbour mouth in about 200ft of water.
After landing it, we pulled anchor and headed home with 2Reel2 beside us.

Trolled shallower into 110ft of water mid morning, brought the downriggers up to 105ft and immediately got into a double header, the action continued from that point until the crew had their limit of 2 salmon each.
